Missoula PaddleHeads Host 2nd Annual PaddleHeads High School Baseball Showcase

Missoula, MT.   The Missoula PaddleHeads, in conjunction with Frenchtown High School, host the 2nd Annual PaddleHeads High School Baseball Showcase this weekend at Ogren Park at Allegiance Field. The annual event was started by the PaddleHeads last year to honor and celebrate the return of high school baseball to Montana.  The PaddleHeads Annual High School Showcase is designed to be an annual event highlighting local high school baseball at Ogren Park Allegiance Field at no cost to the high schools.  This year the Showcase will feature 10 High School Teams playing 5 games each day on Friday and Saturday this weekend.  Nine of the 10 teams are local regional teams from Western Montana.  Participating local teams include Corvallis, Ronan, Polson, Florence, Stevensville, Columbia Falls, Hamilton, Whitefish, and Frenchtown high schools.  Belgrade High School was also invited to return after supporting the start up of this event last year.

Fans can expect an action-packed weekend as young athletes from across Montana showcase their talents and compete against each other. The Missoula PaddleHeads High School Baseball Showcase is set to be an unforgettable experience, and the PaddleHeads are excited to be part of this annual event.  The Showcase is hosted by the PaddleHeads at Ogren Park Allegiance Field at no cost to the programs for facilities.

Missoula PaddleHeads President, Matt Ellis, had this to say about the importance of this high school baseball showcase:

"We are excited to host these 10 high school baseball programs at the stadium this weekend," commented PaddleHeads President Matt Ellis.  "The return of high school baseball has been an overwhelming success so far.  While we have more to do to help these programs flourish, we are excited about the option that our local youth now have for physical recreation and future collegiate scholarship opportunities.  The PaddleHeads are committed to supporting this effort and having our Showcase event grow from 4 teams to 10 teams in one year should make us all celebrate.  We look forward to having this high school baseball event in Ogren Park Allegiance Field for many years to come."

In addition to the high school baseball showcase, the PaddleHeads have adopted the Frenchtown High School baseball program's first season and will also host 4 additional Frenchtown High School games over the coming weeks.
